Stephen Stills is an American musician and multi-instrumentalist. He is known for his work with the bands Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills & Nash (& Young).
Stephen’s paternal grandparents were James W. Stills (the son of James F. Stills and Ibba Isabella Potter) and Cora C. Faunce (the daughter of Noah Moody Faunce and Hannah Catherine Reamer). Hannah was the daughter of James Reamer, who had Swiss (Swiss-German) ancestry, and of Mary Ann Kingery.
Stephen’s maternal grandparents were Verner Thomas Collard (the son of John Wesley Collard and Talitha Rebecca Fields) and Nellie Stewart Brockett (the daughter of Holmes Leonidus Brockett and Quintilla Wichert Hayes).
