The Rev was an American musician and songwriter. He was known as the drummer and founding member of the American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold. He was the son of Joseph Mary Sullivan and Barbara Ann (Pickering).
The Rev’s paternal grandfather was Eugene Thomas Sullivan (the son of Jerry Thomas Sullivan and Winifred Ann Murphy). Jerry and Winifred were Irish immigrants. Jerry was the son of Daniel “Dan” Sullivan and Norah Leary. Winifred was the daughter of Thomas Murphy and Bridget Cunnant.
The Rev’s paternal grandmother is Patricia Marie Hawkins (the daughter of Edward Royal Hawkins and Agnes Cecilia LeQuime). Edward was the son of Charles Agustus Hawkins and Ella Garvey. Agnes was adopted by French-Canadian couple Leon LeQuime and Delphine Mary Chrétien.
