Per Gessle is a Swedish pop singer-songwriter, guitarist, and harmonicist. He is the lead singer of the Swedish pop group Gyllene Tider and formed Roxette with Marie Fredriksson (Gessle being the chief songwriter in both bands). He is the son of Kurt Oskar (Johansson) Gessle and Gunborg Elisabet (Johansson) Gessle. He is married to Åsa Nordin.
Per’s paternal grandfather was Karl Ragnar Tuninners (later Johansson, the son of Johan Adolf Gren, later Håkansson, and Carolina Hedin, later Magnusdotter). Johan was the son of Håkan Gren and Ulrika Johnsdotter. Carolina was the daughter of Magnus Hedin and Anna Lisa Johansdotter Stensholm.
Per’s paternal grandmother was Gerda Matilda Barkstedt (the daughter of Karolina Barkstedt and Lovisa Jonasson).
