Mix Master Mike is an American turntablist, Hip Hop DJ and producer and well known as being the DJ for the Beastie Boys. He was born to a German Jewish father and a Filipino mother.
Growing up in San Francisco, he would meet his then rival DJ Qbert. The two would form a DJ crew that would dominate the world DJ competitions in the early 90s. Interestingly, his DJ crew, The Invisibl Skratch Piklz are all of Bay Area Filipino descent. While the Beastie Boys are all of Jewish descent.
