Rachel is the daughter of Isabel (Padua), who founded The Padua Charitable Fund, and Michael Charles Grant, 12th Baron de Longueuil (born Michael Grant de Longueuil), a retired doctor, hypnotist, and artist. Rachel was born in Manila, Philippines, and grew up in Nottingham, England. She currently resides in New York.
Rachel’s father, who is British, has English, some Irish, 1/64th French-Canadian, and remote Scottish and Welsh, ancestry. Her mother is Filipino, and is also said to have Spanish ancestry.
Rachel is the second cousin twice removed of Queen Elizabeth II. Rachel’s paternal great-great-great-grandparents, Claude Bowes-Lyon and of Frances Dora Smith, were also Queen Elizabeth’s maternal great-grandparents.
