S.E. Cupp is an American political commentator and writer. She was previously a panelist on the CNN political debate show Crossfire, and on the news talk and political discussion show Real News From The Blaze, as well as a co-host of the afternoon MSNBC talk show The Cycle.
S.E. is the daughter of Patricia A. (DePaolo) and Kenneth W. Cupp. She has stated that her mother is of Italian descent, and has also refered to herself as Italian.
While various sources states that S.E. was born as “Sarah Elizabeth Cupp”, it is more likely that her birth name is “Sarah Elizabeth Wendt”, due to the fact that no “Sarah Elizabeth Cupp” was born in California on the right date. Her mother’s maiden name then is “DePaolo”, a family name that is also thanked in her book Losing Our Religion: The Liberal Media’s Attack on Christianity. This makes it likely that her father, Kenneth (who has British Isles ancestry), is actually S.E.’s stepfather. The surname of S.E.’s presumed biological father, “Wendt”, is German.
