Brit Hume is an American television journalist and political commentator. He is the son of Virginia Powell (Minnigerode) and George Graham Hume.
Brit’s paternal grandfather was Graham Watkins Hume (the son of Thomas Levi Hume and Nannie Graham Pickrell). Thomas was the son of Charles W. Hume and Frances Virginia Rawlings/Rawlins. Nannie was the daughter of Adolphus H. Pickrell and Mary E. Watkins.
Brit’s paternal grandmother was Laura Belle Willett (the daughter of James Polk Willett and Laura Adelaide Welch). James was the son of Voltaire Willett and Rachel Maria Ijams. Laura was the daughter of James Sylvester Welch and Harriet Jane Legg.
