John Fugelsang is an American actor, television personality, and comedian. He is the son of Mary Margaret “Peggy” (Shank) and John J. “Jack” Fugelsang.
John’s paternal grandfather was Leonard Fugelsang (the son of Lewis/Louis Fugelsang and Martha Nolan). Lewis was born in New York, to a Danish father and an Irish mother. Martha was the daughter of Irish parents, Patrick Nolan and Mary McMahon.
John’s paternal grandmother was Adele H. Corrigan (the daughter of George J. Corrigan and Harriet Osborn). George was the son of Michael Corrigan and Margaret, both of whom were born in New York, to Irish parents. Harriet was born in New York.
John’s maternal grandfather was James Clarence Shank (the son of Clarence Ellsworth Shank and Eleanor/Eleanora Frances O’Brien). Clarence was the son of Adam Shank, who was of German descent, and Ann/Anne S., whose father was Irish. Eleanor was the daughter of Patrick O’Brien, who was Irish, and Eleanora, who was born in Virginia.
John’s maternal grandmother was Mary Margaret Schieman/Schiemann (the daughter of Louis John Schieman/Schiemann and Dorothy Fidelis “Dora” Carty). Louis was German, and the son of Frank Schieman/Schiemann and Frederica. Dorothy was the daughter of William F. Carty, who was Irish, and Margaret J., who was born in Virginia.
