Nic Cester is an Australian singer, songwriter, and musician. He is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist, and pianist of the rock band Jet.
Nic is the son of Helen Isobel (McIvor) and Giovanni “John” Cester. He has stated that his mother was Scottish and that his father was of Italian descent.
Nic is the nephew of Eugene de la Hot Croix Bun (born Eugene Cester), a founder of satirical rock band TISM.
Nic’s paternal grandparents were from the Province of Treviso, Veneto, Italy. The surname “Cester” is very common there:
