Carl Bildt is a Swedish politician and diplomat. He served as the 28th Prime Minister of Sweden, from 4 October, 1991 to 7 October, 1994.
Carl’s father, Nils Daniel Fredrik Bildt, was a former major in the reserves of the now defunct Halland Regiment and a former bureau director in the now defunct Civil Defense Board’s Education Bureau. Carl’s mother, Rut Kerstin Maria (Andersson-Alvå), was also born in Halmstad.
Carl is married to Italian-born politician Anna Maria Corazza. He was previously married to Kerstin Zetterberg and Gunnel Maria Kristina “Mia” Bohman.
