He is the son of actors Lloyd Bridges (Lloyd Vernet Bridges, Jr.) and Dorothy Bridges (Dorothy Dean Simpson). His brother is actor Jeff Bridges (Jeffrey Leon Bridges), and his son is actor Jordan Bridges.
