Jacob is the son of Mechele H. (Caster) Kremensky and Steven R. Underwood. His brother is actor Matthew Underwood.
Jacob’s maternal grandfather is Terrence Robert Caster (the son of Hubert “Bert” Joseph Caster and Mary Rita Dunn). Hubert was the son of Henry Caster and Laura Mae Reed. Mary Rita was the daughter of John M. Dunn and Mary Fitzgerald, who were both born in Wisconsin, to Irish parents.
Jacob’s maternal grandmother is Barbara Culver.
