Rebecca is the daughter of Marianne Scheja (Ulla Marianne Brinkendal), an actress and writer, and Staffan Scheja (Bo Staffan Scheja), a pianist and professor. Her brother is DJ Leonard Scheja.
Rebecca’s father is from a Jewish family, with roots in Poland.
Rebecca’s great-grandfather was Jacob Scheja. Jacob was born in Galicia, between Poland and Ukraine.
