Neyla Pekarek is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. She is the cellist and co-vocalist of the folk rock band The Lumineers.
Neyla is the daughter of Dana Collins and Donald Ray Pekarek.
Neyla’s paternal grandparents were Andrew Pekarek (the son of Paul Pekarek and Anna Leshko/Leschka) and Verna Alma Newton. Paul and Anna were Slovak immigrants.
