Adam van Koeverden is a Canadian sprint kayaker and politician. A member of the Liberal Party, he was elected a Member of Parliament in 2019. He won the Olympic gold medal in the K-1 500m category in 2004. He is a two-time world champion in K-1 500 and K-1 1000, winning four Olympic and eight world championship medals.
His father, Joe van Koeverden, is Dutch. His mother, Beata Bokrossy, is Hungarian.
