Birta Abiba Þórhallsdóttir is an Icelandic model and beauty pageant winner who represented Iceland in Miss Universe 2019. She is the first mixed-race woman and the first woman of color to win Miss Universe Iceland.
Her mother is Icelandic and her biological father is of African descent, some websites say that her father is Congolese. Birta never knew her biological father and was adopted by her Icelandic stepfather. She said that she was victim of racial abuse when she grew up.
