Teddy Riner is a French judoka. He has won ten World Championship Gold medals and two Olympic gold medals, which makes him the most titled judoka and one of the most successful French athletes.
Teddy Riner was born in Les Abymes, on the Carribbean island of Guadeloupe, the son of Moïse Riner and Marie-Pierre Melgard. He grew up in Paris, France.
Teddy Riner has two children with his girlfriend, model Luthna Plocus. He is a cousin of French rapper Doc Gynéco.
Teddy’s paternal grandfather is named Maurice Riner “Ti-Maurice”. Maurice was born in Vieux-Habitants, Guadeloupe to Maurice Félicien Riner and Félicie Bernardine Ramsamy. His great-grandmother Félicie was the daughter of Sylvestre “Albert” Cécé and Hélène Ramsamy, who was the daughter of Indian (south Asian) immigrants.
Teddy’s paternal grandmother was Brunette Grenot, the daughter of Tiburce Anastase Grenot and Clémence Gervina Varin.
