Mike Capuano is an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as Mayor of Somerville, MA, from January 1, 1990 to January 3, 1999, and a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Massachusetts, from January 3, 1999 to January 3, 2019.
Mike is the son of Rita Marie (Garvey) and Andrew Capuano. His father was born in Massachusetts, to parents who were born in Atripalda, Province of Avellino, Campania, Italy. His mother was of Irish descent.
