Adam Kinzinger is an American politician. A Republican, he has been a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Illinois, since January 3, 2011. He is a lieutenant colonel in the Air National Guard.
Adam is the son of Betty Jo, an elementary school teacher, and Rus Kinzinger, a CEO of faith-based organizations. He was raised in Jacksonville, Florida, and then in Bloomington, Illinois. He is married to political aide Sofia Boza-Holman.
Adam’s paternal grandfather was Harry A. Kinzinger (the son of Arthur Peter Kinzinger and Ella Ummel). Harry was born in Illinois. Adam’s great-grandfather Arthur was the son of Daniel O. Kinsinger and Mary Plank.
