Paul Stanley is the singer of the rock band Kiss.
His mother came from a German Jewish family that fled Nazi Germany to Amsterdam, and then to New York (they also had Czech Jewish ancestry). His father’s parents were Polish Jews. Stanley was raised Jewish, although he did not consider his family very observant and he was not bar mitzvahed.
Stanley’s family relocated to the Kew Gardens neighborhood in Queens in 1960.
Paul’s maternal grandparents were Erich Jontof-Hutter (the son of Julius Jontof-Hutter and Elisabeth Schubert) and Berthy Kasket.
