Gary Johnson is an American politician. As a Republican, he served as Governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2003. He was the Libertarian Party’s nominee for President of the United States in 2012.
Gary’s father was adopted by Olivia J. and Ole W. Johnson. Gary’s mother was from a Ukrainian immigrant family (she is misdescribed on the internet as being of Russian descent; her family were ethnic Ukrainians who lived in the Russian Empire).
Gary’s maternal grandparents were William Bostow (the son of George Boshtow/Bostow and Matilda Kooreny) and Vera Korneychuk (the daughter of Grigory Maximovitch Korneychuk and Feodosiaya Stephanovna). Grigory was born near Kiev.
