Luis Eduardo Aute is a Spanish musician, singer-songwriter, film director, painter, and poet. His father, Gumersindo Aute Junquera, was Catalan. His mother, Amparo Gutiérrez-Répide Carpi, was a Filipina, of Spanish descent. He is married to María del Carmen Rosado González.
Luis’ paternal grandparents were Luis Aute and María Junquera.
Luis’ maternal grandparents were Eduardo Gutiérrez Répide (the son of Francisco Gutiérrez Creps and Victoria Ana Répide Draga) and Julieta Carpi Millán (the daughter of José Andrés Carpi Sanz and Julia Millán Blanco). Eduardo was born in Iloilo, Philippines, to Spanish parents, from El Pardo, Madrid. Julieta came from Nules, Castellón, Valencia. José Andrés was the son of Teodoro Carpi Tarín and Josefa Sanz Abad.
